I have never really been seen the value or importance of motivational videos until quite recently. Something I have come to realize is that as an entrepreneur, it is so important to motivate yourself every single day. There are going to be so many days where you wake up and you just don’t feel like doing the work. Especially after those “work till 3am” nights (which I have had every single night this week and last). But you have to do what you have to do.
Something I have found that really gets me through the day is motivational videos. Something I was oblivious to was the fact that motivation does indeed fade. And so if you motivate yourself on Monday, it is not going to last all the way through Friday. It is important to motivate yourself continuously: get your mind racing and your heart beating.
Studies have shown that the most important part of your day is the first 20 minutes that you are awake. This is the most intricate time of the day, and whatever you think or do within that 20 minutes will effect your mood and mind through-out the day. Learning this has been of great value to me.
I used to start every day by immediately going on my phone and reading through all personal and business messages. I would start my day anxiously more often than not, and this would set my pace for the day. I now force myself (no matter how hard it is), to completely ignore my phones and emails, and try and watch at least 15 to 20 minutes of motivational videos or business (or wedding) tutorials so that I can at least start my day learning something if not motivating myself. And it really works!
After that, I am in the right frame of mind to get started and work productively. I am motivated (and excited) to push through the entire morning. As a female entrepreneur, you really have to find whatever works for you, and make it a habit. You have to create habits that benefit your mind, make you grow, and push you to work for all your goals. This is definitely a habit I am glad I have created for myself.
