We live in the perfect time period for being entrepreneurs. The world is in a place technologically where it really makes it easier (and cheaper) for entrepreneurs to begin their journeys and grow. With the media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, getting your business out there has never been easier.
A lot of businesses overlook the importance of social media marketing. This is something I don’t understand at all. We have been given a platform to talk directly to our target markets – in a convenient and reasonably priced way. Use it!
It can be a little bit daunting. Especially in the beginning phase when you are slightly unfamiliar with it, and also due to the huge variety of social media platforms there are out there, but with the right guidance you will have the hang of it in no time.
My business coach told me that I must not stress about trying to use 30 different channels to reach my audience – focus on 3 channels, and really focus on them well. For my businesses, the channels that work best are Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn. And so that is where I put all of my time and energy when it comes to social media marketing. These channels make it so easy to target your exact audience – right down to their age, gender, and even their interests.
What is even better is the fact that you can keep track of this type of marketing. You can literally check up yourself on how many people have clicked on a link or advert, and of those people how many were male or female, their ages, and their location. This information is vital to creating the correct campaigns towards the correct market who is essentially interested in your product or service.
